An unprecedented six Taylor Wimpey site managers in west Scotland scooped prestigious NHBC (National House Building Council) awards.
It is the largest haul of awards the region has ever achieved, underpinning the commitment to quality right across the business.
The awards are six of 66 won by Taylor Wimpey site managers around Britain. The proud recipients now go forward to the Scottish regional awards final to be held in Glasgow in October to find out who's the best of the best in Scotland.
The award-winning site managers and developments are: Stephen Sandilands for Imperial View in Airdrie; David McClure for Gilbertfield in Cambuslang; Paul Cunningham for The Laurels in East Kilbride; Martyn Campbell for Dunsmuir Park in Kilmarnock; Iain Alexander for Barony Gate in Lochmaben and Tommy Stirling for Newton Farm in Cambuslang.
Steven Laurie, production director for Taylor Wimpey in west Scotland said: "The whole team at every development takes great pride in what they do and and works extremely hard to ensure the homes we build are completed to the highest possible standards.
"I'm delighted that six of our site managers have reached this stage of the competition and to be recognised by the industry in this way. It's an incredible roll of honour for six of our site managers to impress the judges in one year. In fact, between our 'sensational six', they boast around 100 years service to the house building industry and have constructed over 2,000 homes and apartments as site managers - quite an achievement in itself."
As the only awards scheme that recognises the significant contribution of site managers in new home construction, Pride in the Job has been instrumental in raising the build quality of new homes in Britain for over three decades. The regional events take place in the autumn, with the Supreme Awards gala final being held in January 2013.
