Transport

The main A600 runs through Lower Stondon linking the village to Bedford, 14 miles north and Hitchin, 4 miles south. The M1, the major motorway route from London to the East Midlands is just 10 miles away, while the A1(M) is just 3 miles. Local buses run from Lower Stondon and for train travel there are stations at Arlesey, just a short drive away and Hitchin, only 10 minutes by car. Both stations have direct services to London and Cambridge, you can reach London Kings Cross in just 40 minutes from Arlesey. For international flights Luton Airport is approximately 14 miles away.
