Mount Anvil was established in September 1991. Within six months the Company had secured planning and a contract for the design and construction of a 650 bed student accommodation village at Avery Hill in Greenwich. The Group has an unbroken record of profits over the last 20 years. This is reflected in an increase in shareholders' funds from two pounds in 1991 to £21.1m as at 31 December 2012. Long term relationships and controlled profitable growth are the key drivers of the business. An emphasis on strong cash management and a conservative approach to speculative development have enabled the business to grow so successfully since 1991. The Mount Anvil team has an impressive reputation as leaders in generating mixed-use development opportunities. Our land buying and bid winning skills are widely acknowledged and are providing the platform for sustainable, profitable growth in the years ahead. Our projects range in value from £25m to circa £200m. Over the years the Company has won many awards, ranging from architectural excellence, Considerate Constructor to national safety awards. In February 2013 we were delighted to have been included in the prestigious Sunday Times Best Small Companies to Work For listing for the seventh year running. The Company is privately owned and the shares are held by Directors who are active in the business. Since November 2009, the Group has made four equity issues under a Share Incentive Plan to all members of the Mount Anvil team.
